League Rules
1. The catfish league is not responsible for injuries, damages or loss of any kind.

2. All league and tournament fisher person must be a member of the Red River Valley Catfish Club to participate in Wednesday night catfish
league. Must have cat card to show at registration. The maximum number of boats is the first 35 per Wednesday night league. Anyone 15 years
old and younger can fish without being a club member as long as they fish with a current club member. ID may be required.

3. Each club member will receive 1 free pass for a guest per year. This is only good for Wednesday night league and you will need your cat card
to be punched that night.

4. Entry fee is $10.00 per boat. Maximum participants are 2 per boat with Maximum fish weighed in is 2 per boat. If you have more then 2 catfish
in your boat you will be disqualified.

5. League night times are: Start 6:00 PM End 9:00 PM

Weigh-in deadline is 9:00pm. You are responsible for being at the weigh-in station at that time or sooner, if you are not your fish
will not be counted for that evening.

7. All Participants will abide by all state and local regulations. Violators will be disqualified and possibly disqualified from further league nights.

8. Participants are to use only a single hook per line. No treble hooks, stinger hooks or smelt hooks, etc. allowed.

9. Fish must be carried to the weigh in point in suitable containers to the size of your fish. The fish are the responsibility of the participant. All
healthy fish will be released back into the river, all unhealthy or dead fish will not be allowed to be weighed in. Fish must be at least 12 inches in
length to weigh them in.

10. There will be one scale used on all weighed-in fish

11. League participants are expected to follow sportsmanship standards, courtesy to fellow fishermen as well as safety and conservation. The
league committee has the right to disqualify any disorderly participants.

12. Boats must slow down and allow adequate space between fishing boats and shore fishermen. No wake zone.

13. All league rules must be followed to avoid disqualification of any participants. All decisions made by the league committee are final.

14. All entry fees collected that night will be paid out as followed: 1st – 50% , 2nd – 20 % , 3rd – 10%. The other 20% will cover the cost for
maintaining the league.

15. If enough fish are not weighted in for all the prizes, we will draw for them with the remaining participants. Each team can only be awarded 1
prize a night, if 3 fish are only weight-in the smallest fish prize will be drawn from remaining participants.

16. All boats must be equipped with functioning live wells capable of holding a 40-inch fish. Live wells must have either functioning flow through
systems or functioning aerators. Live wells or coolers must be capable of sustaining the anticipated number and sizes of fish being possessed in
good condition. The use of stringers to hold fish is prohibited.

17. Provide first right of ingress/egress for non-tournament anglers.

18. All tournament boats are required to bear eight-inch decal on both sides of the outboard motor or windshield that identify them as tournament
participants. The decal shall bear the team number.

19. Once a fish has been reduced to possession, no culling or live well sorting is permitted. Fish released by individual anglers must be capable
of holding themselves upright in the water and have high probability of survival. Under no circumstances will a fish of questionable status, likely to
succumb to post-release mortality, be released.

20. You must have your boat with you when you register for league night.

21. We reserve the right to change the rules for the good of the league.

22. We reserve the right to cancel the league at our discretion.

What conditions will require us to cancel league night fishing?

1) River level of 21 feet or greater. Click on "River Level" link on the home page to check river levels.

2) Inclement weather. Rain may not be a reason to cancel. Lightning is. Click on the "Local Weather" link on the home page to check
weather conditions.

3) Floating debris that poses a safety hazard.

4) Unsafe boat ramps.

Every fisher persons safety will be the weighing factor when deciding to cancel a fishing event.
All rules are set in place to insure a safe and enjoyable evening of fishing. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly
